Time Saving Tips

I want to share a time saving tip for FileMaker Slide Controls with all of our followers.

If you are used to using tab panels then you probably are used to the way you can move them up and down and in the order you want. Until recently, I wondered why you could not do the same thing with slide controls. Well apparently I missed where you could and had spent extra time adding additional panels—I was copying and pasting my content from one to another.

So, if you’re like me, you also missed this time saving tip, I will show here how to do it.

How-To

Below I have attached an image showing “Panel 1”. The navigation dot below shows that Panel 1 is in the first position.

If Panel 2 needed to be the first panel all we need to do is click on the navigation dot twice and it will highlight like the image below.

Once it’s selected all you need to do is drag it to the position you want it to be and you’re done. This can be seen in the image below.
