FileMaker Pro 13 - Stylin' Part 5 - The Scarpetta Group, Inc.

FileMaker Pro 13 – Stylin’ Part 4 showed the additional available styles in the Enlightened FileMaker Theme for Tab Panels, Slide Controls and Layout Part Styles. This is the final post going through object styles and going forward I will start to show how to use styles to speed up the layout design. In FileMaker Pro 13 – Stylin’ Part 5 I’m going through Container Fields and Control Styles ( Drop-down Lists, Drop-Down Calendars, Pop-up Menus, Checkbox Sets and Radio Button Sets. )

Drop-down Lists

Drop-down Lists by default are setup as an edit box so the styles available after selecting the Control Style are Field styles. Clicking the Include arrow to give the styles available as seen in the images attached. States for Normal, Hover, Pressed and In Focus are also modifiable.

Drop-down Calendars

Drop-down Calendars are setup just like Drop-down lists where you need to click Include include icon to give the correct styles available as seen in the attached images. Drop-down Calendars also have states for Normal, Hover, Pressed and In Focus.

Checkbox Sets

Below shows the only two available Checkbox set styles for this Theme. Note that they have states for Normal, Hover, Pressed and In Focus which are also modifiable as part of the style. I added a fill color from the header background to demonstrate the Navigation Checkbox Set.

Radio Button Sets

Just like Checkbox sets, Radio Button sets have only 2 styles for this Theme. They also have states for Normal, Hover, Pressed and In Focus which are also modifiable as part of the style. I added a fill color from the header background to demonstrate the Navigation Radio Button Set.

Pop-up Menus

Examples of Pop-up Menu styles are below. Clicking on them will show the available states for Normal, Hover, Pressed and In Focus that can be modified. Please note in the Demo File that Pop-up Menus are part of Control Styles but for lack of space I added them to this Misc, tab.

Container Fields

Below I have added the examples from the Container Field styles. One thing to note is Container fields also have available states for Normal, Hover, Pressed and In Focus. I added the Scarpetta Group logo into the container to see the effect each style has.
